Diane Calabrese Celebrated for Dedication to the Fields of Recreational Therapy and Education Ms. Calabrese lends years of expertise to her work with Florida International University Diane Calabrese has been included in many prestigious magazines including USA News, New York Weekly, and Digital Journals. She can be found in Marquis Who’s Who--as in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process. After earning an associate degree in liberal arts from Nassau Community College in 1989, Ms. Calabrese obtained a Bachelor of Science in therapeutic recreation from Saint Joseph’s College and a Master of Science in health care policy and management from Stony Brook University. While at Stony Brook University Diane served on various boards including the Mental Health Advisory board, and the Healthier U board including the programming and budget subcommittee. Ms. Calabrese gained valuable expertise in the field of recreational therapy over a period of 30 plus years, retired from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2021. Since 2014, Diane worked as an adjunct professor Florida International University --she has taught numerous holistic health and wellness classes there in addition to management courses in recreational therapy. "Meditations for the Mind-Body-Spirit"--a collection of 25 guided meditations including a free audiobook link found on her website. God Loves Sea Animals too: Poetry for Inspiration--18 poems including illustrations of marine animals and their habitat. These poems are both educational and spiritual narratives.
